Email [email protected] with what you're seeing — your device model, iOS version, and, if it's a data question, which screen. This app is built and supported by one person, so replies aren't instant, but every message gets read.
How do I connect Whoop?
Settings → Connected Sources → Whoop → Connect. You'll sign in through Whoop's own login screen — Velisa never sees your Whoop password, only the token Whoop hands back afterward. Once connected, your recovery, sleep, workout and strain data starts flowing in on its own. Disconnecting later removes that token from your phone immediately.
Why does Apple Health show as unavailable on my build?
Two different causes, depending on how you installed the app:
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Every install gets the full app, unlocked, for 30 days from first launch — no card, no Apple purchase screen, nothing to cancel if you stop using it. After day 30, most of the app locks and asks for a Velisa Pro subscription (monthly or annual — the exact price is shown in the app before you're ever asked to pay). One thing never locks: Settings → Export everything stays free, permanently, whether or not you ever subscribe.
How do I cancel?
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Do that from Settings → Manage or cancel subscription inside Velisa (which opens Apple's own subscription screen), or directly via iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Velisa → Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access through whatever period you already paid for, and nothing is refunded automatically for time remaining, per Apple's standard subscription terms.
How do I export or delete my data?
Export: Settings → Export everything builds a JSON file — your profile, settings, workouts and personal records, sleep sessions, and daily health metrics — that you can save to Files or share however you like. It's free at every trial and subscription state.
Delete: Settings → Delete all data wipes everything on this device immediately: workouts, food log, sleep, Coach conversation history, everything. There's no undo and no "are you sure, one more time" screen after you've confirmed once, so export first if you want a copy.
Why does a metric say it's "calibrating"?
This is the most distinctive thing about how Velisa works, so it's worth explaining properly. Velisa never estimates a number it doesn't have enough of your own real history behind — instead of guessing, or showing a plausible-looking placeholder, it says the metric is still calibrating and (where relevant) how far out it is. Every score below is compared against your own rolling history, not a population average, which is exactly why it can't say anything on day one.
Exactly how long each one takes isn't published here — those windows are part of the scoring logic, they differ metric to metric on purpose, and Velisa Age is by a wide margin the slowest of all of them, because it's built to average out day-to-day noise into something you can trust, not to react to a single good or bad week. What's true for every one of them: a calibrating card always names what it's still waiting on, the clock starts the moment you connect a source that can supply that signal (Apple Health, Whoop, or a chest strap), and the fastest way to clear any of them is simply to keep wearing whatever you've connected.
What is the Coach, and do I have to use it?
Fully optional. It's a chat layer over your own numbers, and it does nothing at all until you set it up: create your own key at console.anthropic.com and paste it into Settings → Coach. Nothing is sent anywhere before that. Once configured, every question you ask shows you the exact data payload about to be sent, before it's sent — see the Privacy Policy for the full list of what that payload can and can't contain.
Does Velisa work without Whoop or Apple Health?
Yes. Workout logging, nutrition tracking and weigh-ins all work standalone, with nothing connected. Recovery-related scores (Recovery Score, HRV-guided training, Velisa Age, illness detection) need a connected heart-rate/HRV/sleep source — Apple Health, Whoop, or a Bluetooth chest strap — because there's simply nothing for them to compute from otherwise.
A number looks wrong, or something crashed — what do I send you?
Email [email protected] with your device model, iOS version, and what you saw (a screenshot helps enormously). One thing worth knowing: Velisa is built around never inventing a number, so if you see something that looks suspiciously smooth, rounded, or too complete given what you've actually logged, that's a real bug worth reporting — it means something is behaving unlike the rest of the app.
For what data Velisa collects and where it goes, see the Privacy Policy.
